Subject: Prayer Request - Hannah McAdams

  
Following an MRI of her lower spine yesterday and the finding of a cyst,
Hannah is scheduled for another one tomorrow at 12:30, using contrast dye as
requested by the radiologist.  Karen doesn't really have any details.  They
were not able to complete the testing yesterday because Hannah woke up and
was not allowed to have any more anesthesia since she had already had the
limit for her weight.  Karen has 4 appointments for Hannah in Pittsburgh
this week - the one yesterday, the follow up tomorrow, the previously
scheduled appointment tomorrow with the diagnostician who ordered the
original MRI, and a regular appointment with the plastic surgeon for the
facial hemangioma on Friday.  This MRI was supposed to be just to check for
any possible problems - Karen was not expecting them to find something.  The
diagnostician called her tonight from his cell phone on his way home.  He
said he may not have a definitive diagnosis tomorrow since he's not a
radiologist or a pediatric neurosurgeon, but said she may need to see a
neurosurgeon - he spoke to the head of pediatric neurosurgery at Pittsburgh
Children's Hosp. today about Hannah.  Karen was not aware they had found a
cyst until she got the call tonight, so didn't have any questions ready to
ask, so we don't really know anything.  Hannah is 6 months old.  Please keep
Hannah and all her family in your prayers.
